Seminar (Johannesburg, SA): Treatment of Mining Water

The second annual masterclass on water and wastewater management in mining is scheduled February 27-29 in South Africa

According to organizers, this course will tackle water scarcity issues in Africa, with a focus on water usage in the mining industry.
Real world examples will be used to explain fundamental operations linked to wastewater management, efficient water treatment of mining water and treatment of hydrocarbon polluted water.
 
It is an onsite course and participants can register online.

Pictured: Upper section of a commercial MF/UF pilot (Pall Corp) installed at the EDM waterutility downtown Bamako. Each white cylinder contains 50 m^2 of polymeric PVDF Membranes. This unit supplies 10,000 liters of clean water / hour. Arona Coulibaly (blue shirt) can be seen behind the unit. This equipment was purchased by the university schools in Mali.
